Meaghan Faw - Violin Pedagogy

Meaghan began her teaching career during her undergraduate degree as a volunteer with the UT String Project. Here, she worked under more experienced teachers and had her own teaching evaluated. She moved to Chicago to pursue my Masters degree, and there she gained experience teaching classes in public and private schools and grew my own private studio. During the final year of my Masters, She began my Suzuki training (She is now trained through book 6). This was a life-changing experience for her! Suzuki training completely revolutionized the way she thought about teaching and playing. She is a firm believer in the Suzuki philosophy. She truly believe that everyone can learn to play an instrument at a high level (with the right instruction), and her ultimate goal is to foster a love of music in a supportive, uplifting, and encouraging environment.

Her teaching is style is perfect for students who are just starting out and want to learn correctly from the very beginning, those are returning to the instrument and want to build their skills back up, as well as those who just need a change of pace or different perspective from their current curriculum.
