This pedagogy program is for piano teachers and advanced level students who are interested in learning effective pedagogy methods and advancing their teaching skills. 

Classes are taught by some of Canada’s leading pedagogues with more than 20 years of experience. 

This program also adheres to the requirements for the Royal Conservatory of Music’s ARCT program. Students who complete the program will have a comprehensive understanding of music education for the piano from beginner to advanced levels.

Learn how to teach music in English with Canada Music Pedagogy! We welcome anyone who loves music and would like to teach. Our 2023 Canada Music Pedagogy Conference is specifically designed for teachers who want to learn how to teach music in English. Developing your English language skills as a music teacher will open new doors for your career. This course integrates music pedagogy and educational norms with English language training, helping you build experience teaching music in English. Just as fluency in English is essential for business professionals, musicians and music teachers should know commonly used English terms and phrases related to music. In this course, we will train you to develop your English language skills and understand North American music education trends

For students to practice performing and taking music exams, we offer mock examinations that simulate Royal Conservatory of Music exams. In the mock examination, students will not receive a final grade, but rather, for each section of the exam, students are provided with written feedback to help them prepare for their official examination. After each session, the mock examiner will provide the student with verbal feedback including tips for how the student can further prepare for and perform their very best in their upcoming exam.
