Canada Music Pedagogy's Summer Musician's English Conference provides participants with the tools needed to successfully teach piano in English to students of all ages and levels. This program is specifically designed for piano teachers whose first language is not English and who would like to teach piano in English. The program provides piano teachers with a unique opportunity to receive professional English language training.

Held at Chinook School of Music in Calgary, Canada,

this conference features instructors who are leaders

in the Canadian music education community and specialize in music pedagogy and piano performance.

These instructors will train participants to apply commonly used English words, terms, and phrases used in teaching music. In addition to language training, program participants will receive insight into music education and pedagogical norms and trends in Canada. Upon successfully meeting all program requirements, attendees will receive a certificate of completion from the CANADA MUSIC PEDAGOGY program.

• Daily, our English conversation classes enable teachers to develop their English language comprehension, understanding, and skills

• Our music masterclasses and workshops provide teachers with examples, methods, and tools to confidently teach music in English

• Our practice teaching sessions for participants to practice applying their English language and pedagogical skills while teaching music in English to young Canadian students

• Our choral ensemble sessions provide participants with practice singing in English and with knowledge of English and Canadian song repertoire
